Penn State swimming heads to Yale to compete for first time in over a month

Although the fall semester ended, practices did not for Penn State.

The Nittany Lions went on a 12-day training trip to Naples, Florida, but the trip was not a typical winter break vacation.

The Lions were given only one day off in Florida, and instead of using it to relax, most of the team spent the day supporting their football team at the TaxSlayer Bowl.

Now for the first time in over a month, the Lions will swim competitively this weekend when they travel to New Haven, Connecticut to take on Yale and Rutgers.

The training trip, coach Tim Murphy hopes, will aid the squad in preparing for the meet.
