Penn State swimmers enjoy strong showing on Day 2 of Toyota U.S. Open

The Toyota U.S. Open continued Thursday, as various Penn State swimmers competed in the second day of the highly competitive meet.

Though no Penn Staters stood atop the podium in the A finals, each swimmer still put up strong showings in their respective events.

For the men’s team, two swimmers participated in the B final for the 500-yard freestyle. Rylan Anselm finished in first place with a time of 4:24.52. Fellow Nittany Lion Jack Clancy was not far behind with a time of 4:26.89, earning the freshman from Dublin, Ireland, a fourth-place finish.

In the 50-yard freestyle race, Tylor Kim continued his strong season, getting first in the B final with a time of 19.
