With a chance to build off its best start to conference play in program history, Penn State is going into its midweek matchup full of confidence.
The Nittany Lions (17-14, 6-0 Big Ten) and Buckeyes (19-8-1, 4-1-1) will tangle at 10 a.m. on Wednesday from Buckeye Field with the former looking to stay perfect in the early goings of the Big Ten schedule.
Coming off back-to-back sweeps over Rutgers and Michigan State, the Buckeyes present a new challenge to the Lions as they themselves have lost just once within the conference thus far.
A big key for the Lions will be whether or not the pitching staff can continue to limit the opposition’s chances at the plate as it did against the Scarlet Knights and Spartans.
