Penn State softball suffers run-rule loss to Georgia Tech

Penn State couldn't find its rhythm at the plate, falling 10-0 to Georgia Tech in a five-inning run-rule defeat.

Penn State had a promising start in the top of the first when Brooke Klosowicz led off with a double to center field, but the Nittany Lions couldn’t bring her home. Georgia Tech pitcher Sophia Voyles locked in, striking out the next two batters and forcing a pop-up to end the threat.

On the flip side, Penn State’s Mady Volpe matched the energy in the circle. Despite allowing a two-out walk and a single, she worked out of the jam with her second strikeout of the inning to keep the Yellow Jackets off the board early.
