Penn State had a great chance to build some momentum and pick up two wins before heading into the weekend with Big Ten powerhouse Michigan, but Bucknell had other ideas.
After the Nittany Lions collapsed in the late innings of game one resulting in a 4-2 defeat, it was able to rebound back in game two with a 9-8 victory.
“I was really proud how our girls fought back game two,” coach Amanda Lehotak said. “All that matters is how they respond. Game one in the double-header seems to be a thorn in our side, we’re working on it and the kids never gave up.
