Penn State has struggled mightily in its first 29 games this season, and with a ranked team visiting State College this weekend, it will not get any easier.
The Nittany Lions (6-23) are set to welcome No. 17 Michigan (28-7) to Beard Field for a three game series this weekend that is set to open at 6 p.m. on Friday.
“This will be a big test for us,” coach Amanda Lehotak said. “We haven’t beaten them in years, and it’s Michigan softball. They have been the standard of the Big Ten for a long time. So, my goal is that if we can just play within ourselves then I think we can take a game from them.
