Penn State softball has had a tough time throughout the course of Big Ten play.
There is only so much preparation a coach can put into a game or a series, especially when series come in close succession to each other, so there must be some additional, in-game planning to each matchup.
That’s where coach Amanda Lehotak has begun to place focus ahead of Penn State’s bout with St. Francis at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Beard Field.
Adjustments as the game is occurring are critical. For a coach, they may be simple tweaks to the game plan or unexpected, necessary pitching changes or pinch hitters.
