Penn State softball took to Bob Pearl Field in Iowa City, Iowa, for Game 2 against the Hawkeyes after losing the first game, 2-1, on Saturday.
In its shot at redemption, the blue and white lost 10-2 after six innings.
For the Nittany Lions’ first game on a Monday this season, they selected Abigail Britton to start inside the circle, while the Hawkeyes opted for Talia Tretton, both righties. Pitching was the key to victory for Iowa in Saturday's game, as Penn State managed only two hits, tying for the lowest hit total recorded in a game this season for the blue and white.
