It was a matchup that historically Penn State dominated, but for the second straight year the Nittany Lions walked off the diamond without a victory over Saint Francis.
The Nittany Lions dropped the first game 8-2 and were unable to respond in the second game falling 9-1 in five innings.
Penn State has now lost four straight games to the Red Flash and is 33-8 all time against Saint Francis.
“I tip my hat to Saint Francis but I’m really disappointed in tonight,” coach Amanada Lehotak said. “Saint Francis just flat out beat us in my opinion in every aspect of the game.
