After narrowly escaping an upset on Saturday, Michigan returned to the diamond on Sunday ready to take care of business against Penn State.
The game lasted just one hour and 36 minutes as the Wolverines dominated from the first pitch and defeated the Nittany Lions 11-1 in five innings.
“Obviously it was a tough day,” coach Amanda Lehotak said. “I’m disappointed that we couldn’t give them a tougher game.”
Penn State has now lost 33 straight games to Michigan and has a 6-70 record all time against the Wolverines.
Madison Shaffer got the start in the circle for the second straight day after an impressive performance on Saturday.
