Penn State safety Marcus Allen to enter NFL draft

Penn State safety Marcus Allen has decided, as expected, to pass on his final season of eligibility and enter the NFL draft.

Allen is one of just six players in Penn State history to record 300 or more tackles in his career.

He was in on seven during the Nittany Lions’ 35-28 victory over Washington in the Fiesta Bowl last Saturday, running his career total to 321. That allowed him to pass Brian Gelzheiser for fifth place on the school’s all-time list.

Allen, though, will be most remembered for a field-goal block that made Penn State’s 24-21 upset victory against Ohio State in 2016 possible.
