Penn State safety Jordan Lucas done for season

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State safety Jordan Lucas will miss the remainder of the season with an undisclosed injury, the team announced Tuesday.

Lucas, a senior captain who started 33 games the last three seasons, missed the second half of last week’s loss to Northwestern and appeared on the sidelines with his right arm in a sling. In his place, redshirt junior Malik Golden, who regularly works in the nickel and dime packages, filled in. Sophomore safety Troy Apke, a former Mt. Lebanon High School standout, will likely see more work this week, with Golden stepping in to take Lucas’ starting spot.
