Penn State represented in the All-EIVA teams and individual awards

When the EIVA named its 2016 first team, Penn State had more players on the list than any other EIVA school, in addition to two players who won individual awards.

Back in January, junior outside hitter Chris Nugent won EIVA Offensive Player of the Week two weeks in a row, and has since led the Nittany Lions’ offense, contributing 376 season kills and 3.80 kills per set.

Nugent was named to the EIVA’s 2016 first team and was a co-recipient with NJIT's Jabarry Goodridge for the Uvaldo Acosta Memorial EIVA Co-Players of the Year award.

Captain and fifth year senior middle blocker Matt Seifert was also placed on the EIVA’s 2016 First Team, along with fifth year senior setter Taylor Hammond.
