Today's Penn State football news headlines feature more on the commitment from three-star offensive line recruit Bryce Effner and a place among four-star wide receiver Daniel George's top 10 schools.
Effner is a 6-5, 275-pound offensive tackle from Metea Valley (Ill.) High School who gave his pledge to coach James Franklin over the weekend. He was the 13th commitment in the Lions' 2018 recruiting class and the third offensive lineman, joining four-star prospects Nana Asiedu and Antwan Reed.
Effner showed a willingness to fight at a young age, his coach, Ben Kleinhans told the Chicago Tribune.
