Penn State receiver Geno Lewis set to transfer to Oklahoma

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Wide receiver Geno Lewis will continue his playing career at Oklahoma, the Penn State receiver announced on his Twitter account today.

Lewis, who graduated from Penn State and will be able to play for the Sooners right away, transfers from a Penn State team that has a deep receiving corps of scholarship players. Given the struggles of the Penn State offense the last two seasons Lewis’ departure shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. He caught 17 balls for 196 yards and three touchdowns this season as a redshirt junior.

"This was not an easy decision but I feel like it is time to move on to the next chapter of my life,” Lewis wrote in a statement today, the first day of the spring semester at Penn State.
