There was no telling that seven games into his freshman season running back Saquon Barkley would be playing like this.
This 5-foot-11, 222-pound back continues hurdling defenders, breaking tackles and ripping off chunk plays like he has been doing since he started playing football as a boy. Barkley looked just as fast on a field Saturday night in Columbus, Ohio, where Ezekiel Elliott eclipsed 3,000 yards rushing for his illustrious collegiate career. Barkley continues looking strong, too, carrying the pile for extra yards while churning those thick thighs that stood out to teams who continued courting this former four-star prospect out of Whitehall High School just a year ago.
