Following a breakout 2018 campaign, junior running back Miles Sanders will forgo his senior season at Penn State and will enter the NFL Draft. Sanders announced the news on Thursday, two days following Penn State’s against Kentucky in the Citrus Bowl.
Coming out of Woodland Hills High School in Pittsburgh Sanders was the number one running back recruit in the country in the 2016 recruiting cycle. After playing sparingly returning kicks and in spell of Saquon Barkley during his first two years on campus, Sanders burst onto the scene in 2018.
In his one year as a starter Sanders had over 1,500 yards from scrimmage for the Nittany Lions and was an important catalyst in their offense.
