Running back Miles Sanders became the fifth Penn State player to declare himself eligible for the upcoming NFL Draft. Sanders’ announcement came a day after the announcements of Shareef Miller, Ryan Bates, Connor McGovern, and Kevin Givens.
A true junior, Sanders had one more year left at the collegiate level, but chose to pursue his professional dreams.
The Pittsburgh native was a coveted recruit in the 2016 class and was rated as a five-star prospect by 247Sports. He was the top recruit from Pennsylvania and the top overall running back.
