UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Bursting through the line and quick to hit the hole, running back Mark Allen is a sight to behold.
With 6 feet 7, 6-6, 6-4 and 6-3 offensive linemen leading the way, Allen, Penn State’s 5-6, 181-pound running back, is used to not passing the eye test. In fact, Akeel Lynch’s top backup and Penn State’s punt returner is difficult to find as he wiggles and shakes his way past the Penn State defense in practice.
“[It’s] very hard to see him,” senior safety Jordan Lucas said.
“Little Mark Allen?” teammate and friend Marcus Allen said.
