2018 Penn State commit Justin Fields discovered Monday morning that he’s now part of an elite group — the Elite 11, which bills itself as “the nation’s premier quarterback competition.”
The five-star dual-threat signal-caller will compete against the country’s other top high school prospects at The Opening, an invite-only camp, that runs from June 28 to July 3 at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Ore.
The selections were made public around 11 a.m. Monday. Fields is the third Nittany Lion quarterback since 2012 to earn the honor; Christian Hackenberg (2012) and Sean Clifford (2016) were the others.
