As Penn State prepares to kick off spring practice on March 18, some former Penn State players will have a chance to work out in front of NFL coaches and scouts in Happy Valley. Penn State’s Pro Day will be held March 17. Pro Day is important, because it allows prospects to perform drills in an environment they are comfortable with. It also allows those players not invited to the NFL Combine to get an important tryout.
Five Nittany Lions recently took part in the NFL Combine. Quarterback Christian Hackenberg, defensive linemen Austion Johnson, Carl Nassib, and Anthony Zettel, and safety Jodan Lucas all made the trip to Indianapolis.
