Penn State ended its season in disappointing yet exciting fashion on January 2. The Nittany Lions lost to the Georgia Bulldogs by a score of 24-17 in the TaxSlayer Bowl. However, the win was highlighted by backup quarterback Trace McSorley leading a near Nittany Lion comeback.
Penn State trailed 24-3 after the third quarter yet had a chance to tie the game when McSorley’s pass to the end zone fell incomplete on the last play of the game.
