Penn State Opens as Strong Favorite Over Washington Following First Loss of the Season

Related Topics: Penn State, Washington, D.C.

Penn State finally landed in the ‘L’ column on Saturday, falling to Ohio State 20-13 at home for the eighth consecutive loss against the Buckeyes. The oddsmakers like their chance to rebound with a win in week 11 though, as they have opened as a 13.5-point favorite over Washington.

The Huskies are coming off one of their best seasons in program history, finishing the regular season undefeated and beating Oregon to claim the PAC-12 Championship. A victory over Texas launched them to the national championship game, where they ultimately fell to Michigan, 34-13. However, the Huskies entered 2024 in major rebuilding mode, losing nearly all of its starters to the NFL Draft or transfer portal.
