Penn State is a slight favorite for their first-ever match-up with Ole Miss. The Nittany Lions opened as a 4.5 favorite when the two programs meet in the Peach Bowl on Dec. 30.

Both teams two losses came against opponents who finished in the top seven of the College Football Playoff rankings at the conclusion of the regular season, with each losing to their respective conference champion and playoff selection. Ole Miss suffered a 24-10 defeat to #4 Alabama and a 52-17 thrashing at the hands of #6 Georgia.
