Penn State Opens As Big Favorites Over Ball State

Penn State will look for victory number two of the season next Saturday afternoon against the Ball State Cardinals.

After knocking off No. 12 Wisconsin, 16-10, the Nittany Lions enter week two as 20.5-point favorites over the defending MAC Champions per Vegas Insider.

The Cardinals enter week two off the back of a 31-21 win over FCS opponent Western Illinois. Next week’s game will be the first matchup between the two programs, but the Nittany Lions are 27-3 against opponents out of the MAC all-time. Their last loss to a MAC team came in 2012 when the Bill O’Brien era of Penn State Football began with a 24-14 loss to the Ohio Bobcats.
