UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State avoided season-ending injuries to both running backs Akeel Lynch and Saquon Barkley, coach James Franklin said Tuesday afternoon at his weekly news conference.
While no timetable was given for a return for either of the two backs, Franklin said all of the players who were injured during Saturday’s win against San Diego State – including starting safety Marcus Allen, defensive end Evan Schwan, Barkley and Lynch — are all expected to return at some point this season.
“From everything I know at this point none of them are season ending injuries,” Franklin said.
