FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — The Nittany Lions stepped off their buses and into a humid, 70-degree evening, quickly getting acclimated to their bowl destination as they scattered throughout the hotel grounds.
Coach James Franklin said all of Penn State’s players made the trip to Florida for the Lions’ TaxSlayer Bowl game Saturday against Georgia. Penn State wrapped up the fall semester two weeks ago and players headed home last week before returning to campus Sunday when the Lions began their usual game-week routine.
Penn State practiced Sunday in State College and treated Monday as a day off, which is the same as the team’s regular in-season schedule.
