UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — James Franklin wanted Penn State’s new offensive coordinator in place prior to the Lions’ Jan. 2 bowl game and the team announced Saturday evening it concluded the search for John Donovan’s replacement.
Fordham head coach Joe Moorhead, who attended Pittsburgh’s Central Catholic High School prior to coaching stints at Georgetown, Akron and Connecticut, will join Penn State’s coaching staff where he will be tasked with turning around an offense that finished the regular season 108th in the Football Bowl Subdivision in total offense.
