EVANSTON -- No football team wants to enter its only week off of the season with the foul taste of a loss whetting their appetite to get back on the field.
Yet, that is the situation Penn State is left in after Saturday's 23-21 loss at Northwestern.
There is no question that the week off is desperately needed on the health front, as multiple Lions are dealing with nagging injuries and the bumps and bruises that come with a football season. Ten straight weeks of games isn't ideal, and neither is going into a bye week after suffering a setback.
