Penn State Moves Up to No. 2 in AP Poll

Following Clemson’s loss to Syracuse Friday night, Penn State has now jumped to the No. 2 ranking in the country. This is Penn State’s highest ranking in the AP Poll since November 6, 1999, when the Lavar Arrington-led Nittany Lions were also ranked second.

Obviously, the AP Poll means very little in the grand scheme of things, but man, does it feel good to see Penn State ranked this highly. As someone who is only 23 years old, I haven’t really seen the Nittany Lions at this level. Sure, there was 2005 and 2008 — and to a lesser extent 2009 — but the majority of my fandom has been waiting for Penn State to return to prominence.
