Penn State’s 56-0 victory over Kent State created some upward movement in one of the rankings.
The Nittany Lions rank 9th in the Associated Press rankings, despite remaining eighth in the Coaches Poll. The Big Ten teams joining the Nittany Lions are once again Ohio State (3rd in Coaches and AP), Oregon (Drops one spot to 7th in Coaches, Up one spot to 8th in AP), Michigan (Up five spots to 12th in Coaches, Up six spots to 12th in AP), and next Penn State opponent Illinois (19th in AP, 21st in Coaches.
