On Saturday, Penn State welcomed back former assistant coach Jay Hosack to Rec Hall with a standing ovation, but this time he was coaching from across the net as the No. 6 Nittany Lion’s played their biggest EIVA competition so far this season.
“It’s always a pleasure to come back to Rec Hall and State College,” Hosack, the George Mason head coach, said. “This has always been a classy institution and a classy program. Pav is one of the best coaches in the country and taught me an awful lot.”
George Mason competed throughout the match. The Patriots took a set from the Lions and finished every other set with at least 20 points.
