No. 3 seed Penn State swept No.6 seed Harvard on Wednesday to advance to the EIVA tournament semifinals.
Sets 1 and 2 were nail-biters, as the blue and white won by two points each time. Set 3, however, allowed Penn State to get on a hot streak, gaining momentum to defeat the Crimson by 10 points.
The Nittany Lions’ team effort was led by outside hitter Will Kuhns, middle blocker Owen Rose and outside hitter Matthew Luoma.
Kuhns led with eight digs, Rose hit .875 and Luoma tallied the most points and kills.
While the offense was resilient, a pair of challenges flipped the script.
