After a tough loss last friday to No. 2 Long Beach State, No. 9 Penn State continued its California road gauntlet with a matchup against No. 16 CSU Northridge.
The top-20 matchup didn’t disappoint, as Penn State shut down a furious comeback by the Matadors, winning the match 3-1.
Early in the first set, both teams struggled to find themselves at the service line, with the Matadors having three service errors and trailing 6-3.
The Nittany Lions, on the other hand, capitalized on the errors of CSUN and found their own offense at the service line.
