Saturday’s match was a big one for a couple of reasons. Penn State had a huge match to follow up, after its sweep against Charleston on Friday night. On top of that, it was senior day for Penn State’s three seniors, Will Kuhns, Matt Cosgrove, and Cole Ignaszak. Kuhns was the only one out of the three on the court today, and he lived up to the high expectations, providing support on both offense and defense.
While Penn State unfortunately fell to Charleston, 3-1, the match was anything but unfortunate. The Nittany Lions totaled 61 kills, while the Golden Eagles had 73.
