A group of “lanky goofballs,” always joking, but ready to compete once they step on the court.
That’s how the Penn State men’s volleyball captains, redshirt senior Matt Seifert and redshirt junior Matt Callaway, describe their team of 17 players, all over 6 feet tall.
Seifert and Callaway are charged with the task of leading this team through the season, a job appointed by both the coaches and the team itself.
“I have a specific captain job description, and we talk about it before the vote,” coach Mark Pavlik said.
