For the first time in almost 30 years, and just the second time in program history, Penn State men’s soccer traveled cross country and faced Washington under the lights on Friday night.
Penn State’s offense struggled and lost the match 3-1.
This was the first match for the Nittany Lions in a week after they played four matches in 11 days. However, the Huskies also came into the match with fresh legs, having not played in a week as well.
While both teams were aggressive offensively early, the defensives prevailed and made for no action.
The first shot for either squad finally came in the 16th minute.
