The first-ever 4v4 soccer tournament benefitting Penn State THON brought together over 200 participants to compete in Holuba Hall Sunday afternoon.
“We had more people show up than we thought we would,” Pierre Reedy, a midfielder on the Penn State men’s soccer team, said. “I think when we first started planning the event, we never imagined we would have so many people here supporting such a good cause.”
With the large turnout, there were Penn State athletes and students alike competing for the final prize of vintage Penn State soccer jerseys. Among other teams, women’s hockey and men’s volleyball were represented.
