After losing a handful of defenders in the 2023 offseason, Penn State will work with what it's got to make a potential deep run in the upcoming 2024 campaign.
Coach Jeff Cook’s squad will be without a plethora of key defenders, one being Femi Awodesu.
Awodesu signed an MLS NEXT Pro contract with Houston Dynamo 2 after four seasons with the blue and white. The Philadephia native contribued to 21 clean sheets, scoring six goals and an assist in 65 games.
As a result, Awodesu was named 2023 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year as well as being a first-team All-Big Ten selection.
