Penn State faced No. 22 Michigan in Ann Arbor on Friday night after a close loss to Cornell on Monday.
Michigan’s defense was too strong for the Nittany Lions to overcome and Penn State lost 2-1.
After about 12 minutes into the match, the Wolverines were on the move. Senior Jason Bucknor set up a shot in the middle of the field to sophomore Joao Paulo Ramos. However, freshman midfielder Malick Daouda stepped in and deflected the shot for the blue and white to keep the game tied.
Bucknor was a problem for the Nittany Lions on defense.
