Penn State men’s soccer coach Bob Warming, the eighth all-time winningest coach in Division I history, announced his retirement Thursday morning.
His career spanned 40 years, including the last eight at Happy Valley. He finished with 461 career wins and two national Coach of the Year Awards and, at Penn State, guided the Nittany Lions to two Big Ten titles and three NCAA tournament appearances.
“Thanks to everyone who has been a part of this collegiate coaching journey,” Warming said in a written statement. “I have been so fortunate. Fortunate to have met, worked with, worked for, and been a coach to, so many amazing people.
