Even though he hasn't played a game yet this season due to injury, Grant Ament has been named to the Tewaaraton Award watch list.
The Tewaaraton, which is essentially the Heisman of college lacrosse, announced its initial watch list of 50 men and 50 women on Thursday evening. On the men's side, Maryland's Matt Rambo claimed the award last year after winning the national championship.
Ament has landed on the watch list after his strong offensive season in 2017. He led the Nittany Lions with 60 points last year, scoring 30 goals and adding on 30 assists.
