Gerard Arceri has won over 71 percent of the 194 face-offs he has taken this season. It's tilted the field in Penn State's direction by a large amount. He's leading the Big Ten and is third in the nation in face-off win percentage.
The strong start has seen him added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, the Heisman of lacrosse, joining attackman Grant Ament who was in the first addition. Arceri is one of eight additions on the men's side as he has climbed into the ranks of elite college face-off men.
“These players have proved in the early part of this season that they deserved to be in the conversation for lacrosse’s top award,” said Jeffrey Harvey, Chairman of The Tewaaraton Foundation, in a news release.
