PHILADELPHIA –– The lone thorn in the side of Penn State’s offensive juggernaut during the regular season was Yale. The defending NCAA Champions were the only team to get the best of the Nittany Lions during the regular season, and now, the only team to get the best of the Nittany Lions during the postseason.
The longest postseason run in program history came to an end in the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament as top-seeded Penn State fell to Yale by a score of 21-17.
From the start of the game, Penn State found itself in a similar position at the faceoff X as it did the first time these two teams met.
