Penn State men’s lacrosse comes back in the fourth quarter to defeat Hobart

In a close battle with coach Jeff Tambroni’s alma mater, Penn State had a fourth-quarter comeback to clinch a 17-12 victory over Hobart on Saturday at Holuba Hall.

Improving to 2-0 on the season, the Nittany Lions had to play a game of catch-up after tying the game frequently, seeing the last tied score with 13:50 in the fourth quarter.

TJ Sanders opened the scoring at 12:52 in the first. After two Statesmen goals, the teams exchanged points for the rest of the quarter, and the Statesmen took a 4-3 lead by the buzzer.

In the second quarter, the Lions outscored Hobart 4-1.
