Following his senior season for Penn State, goaltender Matthew Skoff is on the path to become the fourth Nittany Lion to play professional hockey.
Per Jason Guarente of the Reading Eagle, Skoff signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Reading Royals — the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Skoff spent the majority of the 2015-16 season splitting time in goal for the Nittany Lions with junior Eamon McAdam. McAdam won the full-time starting job for the remainder of the season after Skoff surrendered six goals on 42 shots on February 20 — a 7-4 loss on Senior Day to Ohio State.
