Following Friday’s five-goal showcase, Penn State came back to the Sullivan Arena and, as coach Guy Gadowsky would say, just couldn’t “get the putts to fall” in a 1-1 tie with the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves.
The Nittany Lions outshot the Seawolves 37-21 on Saturday night, including a 19-shot mark in the third period, but couldn’t solve Seawolves’ netminder Olivier Mantha more than once, en route to a tie that moved the Lions’ record to 7-2-3 on the season.

Alaska opening the scoring early and put the Lions on their heels. The Seawolves appeared to come back with a vengeance after losing 5-2 on their home ice the night before.
