A team’s record doesn’t always give the full story. But in Wisconsin’s case, it just might.
After winning just four games all of last season, the Badgers have already matched that through 18 games in 2015-16.
The struggling Badgers (4-8-6-0, 1-3-2-1 Big Ten) look to pick up their first win against No. 15 Penn State (13-4-3-0, 3-1-0) since March 2014, when the two teams face off at Pegula Ice Arena at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
While Penn State has steadily improved each season since the inception of the Big Ten Conference in NCAA Division-I hockey — the Nittany Lions improved by ten wins from 2013 to 2014, and are well on their way to eclipsing the 18-win mark set last season — the Badgers’ future doesn’t look as promising.
