Penn State’s first period woes continued last weekend as they were dominated in the opening minutes of back-to-back games against Wisconsin.
Although they fell behind early in both games, the Nittany Lions delivered comeback bids in both contests. Reaching overtime on Friday night, the Badgers took the extra point and defeated the blue and white 5-4. Then, on Saturday, Penn State fell short of completing a four-goal comeback and lost the game 6-3.
“The last two games have not been a recipe for success,” forward Aidan Fink said. “We need to come in with the mentality that we want to start from the get-go.
