The stakes get a little higher this weekend, as Penn State starts its Big Ten schedule on Friday at Pegula against Michigan.
Penn State has many reasons to be confident heading into conference play. The Nittany Lions are ranked No. 5 in the country, higher than any of their conference foes.
Despite the fact that the Nittany Lions are on top of the Big Ten in terms of rankings, this does not make them a lock for any success in the conference.
“In this league you can play really well and do a lot of things really well and lose, you try really hard not to judge on results but judge how we play,” coach Guy Gadowsky said.
